The Story
In order to claim his inheritance, punk rocker and Buddhist monk's son Yohei (Masahiro Motoki) had to become a novitiate himself. Then, when lazy collegian Shuhei (Motoki) is a few credits shy of graduation, his professor (Akira Emoto) will overlook it-so long as he joins and reinvigorates the school's moribund sumo club. Suo's "Sumo Do, Sumo Don't" (1992) co-stars Misa Shimizu, Naoto Takenaka. 3 1/2 hrs. Total. Widescreen; Soundtrack: Japanese; Subtitles: English; featurettes.
