With more of a focus on being progressive & technical rather than achieving the most intense grooves, Act I of "War Crime 2: Genocide Protocol" combines the death metal brutality of bands such as Disgorge, Deicide, Suffocation, Defeated Sanity, Regurgitation, Repudilation, and Devourment, with the complexity of bands such as Atheist, Gorguts, Gojira, and Sadist. It's also influenced by 12-Tone Serialism and it's many great composers such as Anton Webern, Arnold Schoenberg, Alban Berg, and Pierre Boulez.
